React Native Series – Post – 5​​ – Installing EsLint in ATOM:

 

ESLint is an open source project originally created by Nicholas C. Zakas in June 2013. Its goal is to provide a pluggable linting utility for JavaScript.

In​​ the previous post, you might have seen how to install ESLint in Sublime Text , In this post, we will see how to install ESLint in GitHub’s Atom code editor, it is very similar to what we did for sublime text but this information is for users who wants to use atom as the code editor.

Open up your project folder in Atom, goto File -> Settings and click on the install button, you will be able see the install packages section.

 

  • Search for a package called “linter”​​ and install it.

 

 

  • Next search for a package called​​ “linter-eslint”

 

 

 

  • Install a config with npm:

  • npm install –-save-dev eslint-config-rallycoding

 

 

  • Add config file to project:

Create a file called .eslintrc in the project’s root directory and enter the below content in the file.

{

“extends” : “rallycoding”

}
